2009 Recap & 2010 Goals
In looking back over the last year I didn’t think there would be anything great and wonderful to write about. Both my husband and myself were laid off from our jobs, money has barely been there, we have had numerous confrontations with our son, etc……….
But even with all of that. Being laid off gave Brian and I more time together, which we have both enjoyed, money was barely there, BUT it WAS there, and we are mending fences with our son.
There were those times of celebration too: Our daughter graduated from high school and started her freshman year at Lee University and not one red cent came from our pockets! I have finally started taking control of my health and have lost 55.5 lbs (so far), with a goal to lose another 150 lbs in 2010. Brian and I feel like we are “dating” all over again because the house is “technically” empty nested.
2010 can only be better than this last year and we are going to do everything we can to make it so. I want to see our finances under control, Brian in a job he likes, our son finally getting his life in order and happy again, and our daughter continuing her education and loving every second of it. I plan on more family time, and picking up a new hobby other than reading (any suggestions?), a vacation would be amazing and of course the 150 lbs gone!
